Social Media For Business – Is it right for me?

Social Media For Business gives all companies an equal voice on the web.

The potential to promote your product or service with social media is enormous.  Think of it like this… if you are looking for information on a product or service, where do you go?  Google or another search engine?  If so, your business had better be listed or you may be losing a lot of business.  Even if you are listed, are you on the first page of results?  If not, social media may help.

Every time you post a blog, tweet a promotion or post to facebook about your company, the search engines count another link to your site.  The more links to your website, the higher your ranking results, because search engines like Google use an algorithm that relies heavily on the number of links to your site.

Here are some great uses for social media:

  • Relationship Building – talk with customers, answer questions, raise awareness and build loyalty
  • Brand Building – showcase your brand, have conversations with customers, post new products and have a conversation
  • Publicity and Promotions – announce new products and services, promote exclusive discounts and ask for reviews
  • Research – learn about your customers concerns, wants and needs, learn about your competitors
